MULTI INSTRUMENTALIST AND COMPOSER FOR FILM AND CONTEMPORARY MUSIC.

Marc Chouarain is a film music composer, pianist, and collector of rare world music instruments (Theremin, Celesta, Dulcitone, Persephone, Therevox, Cristal Baschet, Optigan, Tuvan Igil, Morin Khuur, Duduk, C-melody, Hang Drum, Toy Piano, Tubular Bells...)

Student of the renowned Pianist Irene Caumon (Class of Marguerite Long, concert pianist of Maurice Ravel), Marc has been awarded numerous prizes in piano, alto saxophone, and music theory at a very young age, including the First Prize of the UFAM INTERNATIONAL MUSIC COMPETITION and the one of RADIO FRANCE.

After a first concert on TV at the age of 11, Marc completes his music studies with Jacqueline Lequien from the CNSMP and international concert artist Claude-Philippe Durand, specialist of the Romantic Era (Brahms and Chopin).

Within the framework of the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, the French Music Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (SACEM) released the top 20 of the French Touch of music film composers. Marc Chouarain is ranked #1 in front of the music composers of THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL, THE HOBBIT, LUCY, RIO 2...

He also holds a Master’s Degree in Management from SKEMA BUSINESS SCHOOL.
